Conquer the Corporate World With Comedy!

If you are in a field that requires Public Speaking, Presentations, or On-Your-Feet Thinking, I have a course for YOU! Through my 3-Session Curriculum, professionals will be trained in the art of improv/stand-up comedy as a means of honing your ability to Communicate Efficiently, Connect With Clients/Customers, and Build Self-Confidence! I am a comedian and coach with over a decade of experience performing professionally, and training from the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, University of Southern California's School of Dramatic Arts, and personal mentorship from comedians Wayne Brady and Jon Rudnitsky!

Comedy and public speaking are both a formula, how can they be made into a scientific model for success/interpersonal connection?

Session 1

  • 2.5 Hrs

  • Introductions and Warm-Up Games

  • What is Standup Comedy? ​

  • Three Pillars of Comedy​

  • What works and what doesn’t? Finding out how YOU do standup!

  • How does comedy training inform public speaking?

Session 2

  • 2.5 Hrs

  • Discuss the three-minute set​

  • Workshop material and give feedback to each participant

  • Activities to encourage creation of new ideas, exercise the muscle of being LOUD and WRONG!

  • Eliminate the fear of judgement - get out of your head and into the room!

Session 3

  • 2.5 Hrs

  • Introductions and Warm-Up Games

  • Present 3-Minute Sets​​

  • Discuss Heckling​​

    • Heckling can occur in real life - how to overcome these obstacles and not get deterred/discouraged! 

  • Discuss crowdwork

    • Why is it so scary? Because you’re dependent on the audience and your ability to respond - similar to a debate/pitch!

Showcase

  • 2 Hrs

  • Location: A Real Stand-Up Comedy Club!

  • Participants will perform their original 3-minute comedy sets!

  • Using my connection to the local club in your area, I will book out the main space so that participants will enjoy the real, authentic, EXCITING chance to do stand-up on an actual stage!

  • Followed by a reception with audience members and fellow participants - morale booster and encouraging experience!

My Curriculum

I believe that receiving a crash course in comedy will help professionals get out of their heads and allow them to find their own unique, precise, and EFFECTIVE method of reaching new people and communicating their ideas! I have created a curriculum that encourages community between participants - boosting morale, creating opportunities for exploration of what each person finds FUNNY, IRRITATING, INTERESTING, or IMPORTANT, and allowing them a space to address those discoveries - ultimately creating skills that will serve them as they seek interpersonal relationships in their industry!
